Tennessee Living
The move to Tennessee was quite smooth. My sister and her husband moved up first and about a week later I moved with my other sister and her wife. I live with my sister, brother-in-law, and two nephews. I don’t enjoy the lack of peace but otherwise, I am doing perfectly fine. I didn't have a comfortable job for a while, so naturally, I ran out of any remaining savings I had. It felt like I had an impending failure waiting to happen, but it never did.
I have a job now, I work in the deli of a grocery store, it's been almost a month and so far from my point of view, everything has gone fine. There have been hiccups here and there but otherwise nothing abnormal. I do like my co-workers and I can only hope that they feel the same to some degree. I hope to enjoy my time with the company just as much as I enjoy the learning experience.
In other news, I am searching for a boyfriend. I know it sounds lame and maybe it is, I wouldn't know. But I think I may finally be ready and experience is part of life so what better time to start than now? I have nothing else to fill my schedule besides my part-time job so I figured maybe now is the time to think about a relationship with someone's son. In the past, I did not have the best record of talking to and continuing conversations with guys. I have only gone on "dates" with guys if you could even call them that. Let's just say the standards are quite low and yet no one seems to reach the absolute bare minimum. We will see how it goes, hoping for a miracle.
I don't know if I have mentioned pets before but I am no stranger to them. Anyways, I had a sweet heart cat, named Poe. We adopted him in 2019, he was so cute in the shelter, apparently attempting to get my sister and brother in laws attention and they knew I love cats so they said I should get him and I am so happy I did. Poe came home and immediately got comfortable. I arrived home from school and he was in my room, walking up to me as if he had known me his entire life. There is no surprise and I will never forget this as I found it funny but the only note on his adoption papers from the vet was that he was "very friendly". I only find it funny because Poe was exactly that, extremely friendly and loved EVERYONE, he did not care if you tried to shoo him away, eventually, he would come back to talk or to be pet. Unfortunately though, one night he got out here in TN and despite the speed limit on this road being 35 mph, a speed you can slow down or swerve from harming an animal, some person hit him. Very unfortunate incident and I swear up and down that the universe does not want me having a pet cat! They keep getting taken away from me after I completely fall in love with them as my babies.
I got a new cat named Lucifer, or Lucifur, I haven't fully decided to be completely honest. He is great. When I went to the shelter I was reading all of the cats descriptions and his stood out to me. I asked if I could interact with him and the lady opened the cage and he sloppily fell out of his bed as she grabbed him. I knew then that I would definitely take him home because of how carefree he was!
I wrote this 6/24/22, I just forgot to publish it haha!
